Main reason for this submit.

I’m seriously considering having my tongue split. I’m not here to ask “ohmigosh how much did it hurt?”, but I’m wondering about how long it took to heal properly, and if it’s really impeded speech/eating much at all. 

Thank you :) The initial healing was around 8 days, but I spent the next 2 months ripping it apart 3 times a day.  I’m technically still healing but its 100% functional again.  I had a lisp for a while, but it only really affected eating for the first two weeks or so.  I still have a mild lisp, but if I pay attention when I’m speaking I don’t.  I happen to really like lisps so I tend to just let it happen.
